The Hosokawa Powder Technology Foundation is engaged in the following activities to foster fundamental research on powder engineering and support international exchange among powder engineering researchers to contribute to the development of scholarly research in Japan
Activities
Support for promising research on powders.
Presentation of the KONA Award for fruitful research on powder engineering.
Support for scholarly international exchange, such as support for overseas travels for research presentations regarding powder engineering.
Support for research presentation events, discussions, symposiums, etc., related to powder engineering.
Provides research subsidies for students pursuing research in graduate school and elsewhere.
Support for publication of excellent papers summarizing research results related to powder engineering.
Holding of lectures and discussions among researchers and engineers on important themes related to powder engineering. Once every other year in Tokyo and Osaka. Authorized number of approx. 200 persons (some invitations, open to the public).
Publication of the English journal "KONA"
Published once a year in English as an international scholarly journal covering powder engineering (2,000 copies, 200 pages). Distributed free of charge to scholars, researchers, libraries and other parties throughout the world.
